The Beading Group provides Club members with
an informal opportunity to explore, learn and work on their bead projects. We
get together on the fourth Sunday each month from 1pm in the Club hall. By
learning basic techniques like peyote, square stitch, right angle weave,
netting and herringbone we have a unique opportunity to access and then capture
cabochons and dichroic glass pendants in beading.
We are creating beautiful
necklaces, earrings, brooches and bracelets.
As supervisor of the Group I
bring with me 20 years of beading. Over this time I have exhibited in Swan View
& Districts and Wanneroo Agricultural Shows, the Perth Royal Show, and the
Cockburn Community & Cultural Council Exhibition, winning many awards for
my work.
I love beading, which can be
simple or involved. Once you have learnt the basics all sorts of things are
possible.
We are only a small Group but
have lots to offer, so come and join us.
